Saudi Arabia reacted to US report on Khashoggi assassination

The Foreign Ministry of the kingdom categorically disagrees with the data of American intelligence.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry said that the conclusions of American intelligence officers in the case of the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, especially about the involvement of the country's leadership in it, are incorrect and offensive. This was reported on Saturday, February 27, by the Al Arabiya TV channel.

“The government of the kingdom categorically rejects the offensive and incorrect conclusions contained in the report about the leadership of the kingdom, which in no way can be accepted,” the channel quotes the ministry's statement.

At the same time, the Foreign Ministry stressed that they consider the crime against the journalist a “blatant violation of the laws and values” of the kingdom and that their country has taken all necessary measures to identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

Recall that the night before, the US intelligence service published a report according to which the operation to kill Khashoggi was personally approved by the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.

In this regard, the State Department imposed visa restrictions on 76 residents of the kingdom, who, according to its data, were involved in the murder of a journalist.
