The American airline Boeing is asking to stop the operation of more than a hundred model 777 aircraft after the engine caught fire in the United States and partially fell off in flight.
According to the press service of the company, it is recommended to suspend the operation of 69 aircraft that are in operation, and 59 that are in storage.
“Boeing is actively monitoring recent developments related to United Airlines Flight 328. While the National Transportation Safety Board's investigation continues, we have recommended suspending the operation of 69 in service and 59 in storage, “ the statement said.
Earlier, we wrote that in November, the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States allowed the American corporation Boeing to return the controversial Boeing 737 Max airliners to operation. A similar decision was made within a few months in a number of other countries.
Flights of the Boeing-737 Max were suspended worldwide in March 2019 after two plane crashes.
