Bill Gates has revealed his attitude to Bitcoin

The founder of Microsoft and one of the richest people on the planet, Bill Gates, has revealed his attitude to bitcoin. According to him, cryptocurrency is not needed to avoid paying taxes or other illegal actions. Part of his CNBC interview is listed on the TV channel's Twitter.

“I don't have any bitcoins, and there are no open positions on them,” Gates said. In addition, the billionaire pointed out, the cryptocurrency exchange rate is very volatile and he can not predict how it will develop further.

On Wednesday, February 17, the price of bitcoin once again broke the historical record and cost more than 52.2 thousand dollars per coin. Over the year, bitcoin has grown by about 400 percent. To rise in price by 10 thousand dollars, the cryptocurrency took a little more than a month. The sharp growth of the most popular cryptocurrency began after Tesla announced the purchase of bitcoins for $1.5 billion.

The company's founder Elon Musk, speaking about the future of bitcoin, predicted that it will soon be widely recognized in the world of traditional finance. “At the moment, I think bitcoin is a good thing. I don't have a clear opinion about other cryptocurrencies,” the billionaire said, adding that he should have bought bitcoin eight years ago.
