Trump expects to take control of Congress in the 2022 elections

Former President of the United States Donald Trump, who managed to avoid impeachment, discusses with political aides efforts to help Republicans take control of the House of Representatives and the Senate in the midterm elections in November 2022.

This is reported by the Associated Press.

“I believe that you will probably hear a lot more about him in the coming days,” senior adviser Jason Miller said.

At the same time, according to the publication, Trump is still fixated on revenge on Republicans who supported his impeachment or resisted his efforts to overturn the results of the November presidential election.

So, Senator Lindsey Graham, who spoke with Trump on Saturday night, acknowledged that Trump is “angry with some people,” but also “ ready to move on and rebuild the Republican Party.”

Graham also revealed that he tried to convince Trump, who had threatened to form his own party to punish disloyal Republicans, that the GOP needed him to win.

“I said: “Mr. President, the Make America Great Again movement must continue. We need to rally the party. “Trump Plus is the way to 2022,” Graham was quoted as saying.

Recall, the former President of the United States, Donald Trump, after the Senate voted for his acquittal in the second impeachment trial, accused the Democrats of political persecution and said that he still has something to offer Americans to “ make America great again.”
