Six people died in a liquid nitrogen leak in the U.S.
At least 130 people in the city of Gainesville were evacuated to a nearby church for medical tests.
In the U.S. state of Georgia, six people were killed and about a dozen injured when liquid nitrogen leaked at a poultry farm. It was reported by the local TV channel WSBTV on Thursday, January 28.
The incident occurred at the Prime Pak Foods plant in Gainesville. Authorities initially thought there was an explosion at the plant, but it was later determined that the incident was caused by a leak.
The victims were taken to a hospital. Three of them are in critical condition. At least 130 people were evacuated to a nearby church for medical examination.
Emergency services of several agencies are working at the scene of the leak.
Earlier, in the Polish city of Berun, there was an explosion at the Nitroerg plant, engaged in the production of explosives. One of the workers died on the spot, the other was urgently hospitalized.
