More than 1,000 people detained at protests in Russia
Protests continue mainly in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Detentions continue.
During protests by supporters of Alexei Navalny on Saturday, January 23, 1,090 people were detained in Russia.
Among those detained was Yulia Navalnaya. The opposition leader's mother also attended the rally.
Protest actions continue in many cities, particularly in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
According to the Moscow Interior Ministry, 4,000 people are taking part in the rally, but social networks claim that there are many more participants.
Recall that protesters demand the release of Navalny, who was detained immediately upon his return to Russia and arrested for 30 days.
