China imposed sanctions on members of Donald Trump's team

China has imposed sanctions on 28 American politicians from the team of ex-President Donald Trump.

According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, the sanctions came into force immediately after the entry of presidential powers by Joe Biden.

The list of Chinese sanctions includes incumbent Secretary of State Michael Pompeo, former senior adviser to the president Stephen Bannon, former and current presidential aides for national security John Bolton and Robert O'Brien, incumbent chairman of the National Trade Council Peter Navarro, deputy secretary of state for Southeast Asia David Stillwell things like that.

“Over the past few years, some anti-Chinese politicians in the United States, out of their selfish political interests and prejudices, as well as their hatred of China, without showing respect for the interests of the Chinese and American peoples, have planned, promoted, and carried out a series of insane steps, seriously interfering with domestic China's affairs, undermining China's interests, insulting the Chinese people and seriously disrupting Shina-US relations, “the statement said.

It is argued that the sanctions are being imposed on those politicians who “bear the main responsibility for such US actions in matters related to China.”

Persons on the list of sanctions, as well as their immediate family members, are prohibited from entering mainland China, as well as Hong Kong and Macau. They and their associated companies are prohibited from doing business with China.
