Dozens of Americans with guns came to the Michigan Legislature building in the state capital city of Lansing, MSNBC reported.
Its footage shows many journalists in attendance and citizens demonstratively carrying firearms, the possession of which is allowed in the state.
Police cordoned off the perimeter around Parliament, but there were no restrictions on access to the nearby lawn. Members of the National Guard in jeeps and armored vehicles are on duty nearby.
A correspondent of the TV channel said that there are helicopters in the sky.
Judging by the video, the situation is calm, journalists and protesters stroll around the lawn.
