People over the age of 80 are not recommended the Pfizer vaccine because they have weaker immunity and are prone to adverse effects
Chinese medical experts called on all countries to stop using Pfizer and BioNTech's coronavirus vaccine because of more than 20 deaths among vaccinated pensioners in Norway. This was reported by Europe News and the Global Times.
According to a Chinese immunologist, the new mRNA vaccine against COVID-19 was developed in a hurry and has never been used on a large scale, and therefore its safety has not been proven for widespread use in humans.
At the same time, experts emphasize that the incidents of deaths in Norway should be evaluated cautiously to see if it was the vaccine that caused the deaths or other conditions.
Yan Rchanziu, a virologist at Wuhan University, said that the mRNA vaccine teaches human cells to produce a protein that causes an immune response to the coronavirus. In doing so, toxic substances can be produced in the body. This shows that mRNA vaccines cannot be completely safe for humans.
In turn, an immunologist from Beijing urged not to recommend the Pfizer vaccine to people over the age of 80 because they have weaker immune systems and are prone to negative effects.
Recall that in Norway the number of patients who died after being vaccinated with the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine increased to 23 people. The Norwegian Agency for Medicines believes that the vaccine may indeed have caused side effects that led to "a more serious course of existing diseases in older people."
By the way, the first reports of fatal cases after vaccination in Norway became known last week, on January 5. At the time, it was reported that two elderly people died two days after receiving the coronavirus vaccine from Pfizer and BioNTech.
