Trump's rating has hit a new low

Amid the recent storming of the Capitol, U.S. President Donald Trump's rating has set a new anti-record — only a third of voters support him on the eve of the end of his term.

This is evidenced by the results of the poll, which the company Morning Consult conducted jointly with the newspaper Politico.

Thus, amid the scandals surrounding the new impeachment attempt made by the Democrats in Congress, 34% of Americans declared their support for the president. This is the lowest number since Trump was elected in 2016.

Support has fallen even among his target electorate, Republican Party supporters. Only 75% of them approve of his performance, down 8% from December.

Overall, 63% of poll participants said they did not support the head of state.

The journalists noted that this data is consistent with other polls, according to which Trump's ratings collapsed by about 10 percentage points after the turmoil on Capitol Hill when after his speech, protesters against the recognition of Joe Biden's victory in the presidential election made an attempt to storm the building of the U.S. Congress.

It is noted that Trump may go down in history as the president who leaves the White House with the lowest ratings in the history of the United States.

However, this did not prevent him from topping this year's world admiration rating, which was compiled by Gallup.
