Hackers publish stolen EU data on COVID vaccines

Now shares of vaccine companies — Pfizer, BioNTech, and Moderna — are falling in price, writes Bloomberg.

The hackers released documents about COVID vaccines stolen from the European Medicines Agency at the end of December 2020. Bloomberg reported on Tuesday, January 12.

The timing of the approval of medicines and COVID vaccines has not changed, the Agency assured, and law enforcement agencies are engaged in a data theft case in December.

At the same time, Pfizer shares lost more than 2% in price after the information was made public, while BioNTech shares lost 4.3%. Moderna's shares also fell.

Earlier, WHO said that collective COVID immunity would not form in the world in 2021. Measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus will have to be followed at least until the end of the year, according to the organization.
