“Trump's purse” died in the U.S.

In the United States at the 88th year of life died a billionaire, the owner of casinos in Las Vegas and Macau Sheldon Adelson, who was called “the purse of incumbent President Donald Trump,” according to a report of his company Las Vegas Sands.

The cause of death was a complication of lymphoma, which Adelson suffered from. The billionaire's widow also spoke of the “prolonged illness” her husband suffered. He is expected to be buried in his wife's homeland, Israel.

Adelson's fortune is estimated at $35 billion. His main asset is Las Vegas Sands, which owns casinos in the U.S. Las Vegas and China's Macau Special Administrative Region.

Adelson was also known for his support of the Republican Party and Trump personally, whom he generously sponsored. In 2020, the businessman spent $430 million to support the party and $50 million to support the president of the United States.
