State Department “finished” Trump's powers on its website

On the website of the U.S. Department of State, there was an inscription about the expiration of the powers of U.S. President Donald Trump. The Independent drew attention to this.

This information was posted in the “Biographies” section. At the time of writing the news, the page has already been removed, but the preview shows that the 45th President of the United States ended his term of office on January 11, 2021, at 19:48:58 Washington time. A similar posting was made about Vice President Mike Pence, with his term of office “ending” a few minutes earlier, at 19:44:16.

There is also an archived version of the page, where the time of expiry of powers is indicated as 19:22:16.

Reddit users have suggested that these pages should not be visible until after Trump leaves office. Another version is believed to be the hacking of the website of the U.S. Foreign Service.

On January 11, the House of Representatives published a resolution to impeach current President Donald Trump. The politician is accused of sedition and of “seriously endangering the security of the United States and government institutions.” According to members of the House of Representatives, Trump remains a threat to national security and democracy and should be removed from office because of this.

Officially, Trump is scheduled to hand over the reins to President-elect Joe Biden at noon on January 20.
