Funeral of General Qasem Soleimani in Iran
The most sparing of them may become a historical nightmare for the United States, said in Tehran. And the parliament recognized the Pentagon as a terrorist organization.
Iran's Supreme National Security Council has presented 13 options for responding to the murder of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani. This was stated by Secretary of the Security Council Ali Samhain on Tuesday, December 7.
“To date, 13 options for revenge have been presented to the Security Council,” Samhain said and added that “even the most sparing of them can become a historical nightmare for the United States.
He also stressed that if the U.S. forces do not want to leave the region on their own, “we will make them do it.
Meanwhile, the Majlis (parliament) of Iran voted on Tuesday to recognize the Pentagon as a terrorist organization.
According to the text of the law, the terrorists include “all members of the Pentagon and related institutions and organizations, as well as leaders involved in the death of Soleimani.
The bill was supported by 228 MPs. A total of 238 people's deputies voted in the Majlis.
The draft is an amendment to the law adopted in Iran last April, under which the U.S. Central Command was recognized as a terrorist organization. According to its text, “all U.S. forces in the Middle East are terrorists and the U.S. government is a sponsor of terrorism. The law has been accepted in response to the decision of the president of the USA Donald Trump on April 8 to enter the IRGC in the list of foreign terrorist organizations.
Let's remind that the situation in Iraq has sharply aggravated after on January 3 the USA carried out the operation in the area of the airport of Baghdad as a result of which the Iranian general Qasem Soleimani was killed.
The rocket attack on the convoy, which was followed by a military leader, was made by the personal order of U.S. President Donald Trump.
Iran stressed that the U.S. actions are tantamount to starting a war and promised to take revenge.
