Turkey to receive 4.5 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine Pfizer

Turkey expects the first 500,000 doses of coronavirus vaccine by the end of 2020 or early January. By the end of March, the country will receive 4.5 million doses.

According to Anadolu Agency, Turkey has agreed to purchase a vaccine developed by Pfizer.

As part of the agreement, it is possible to purchase another 30 million doses of the drug from Pfizer on the same terms as in the first deal.

More than 2.12 million cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Turkey. More than 19 thousand people have died from complications caused by coronavirus infection. At the same time, 1.97 million infected people have overcome the disease.

By the way, Turkey obliged tourists arriving in the country from December 28 to have a certificate of a negative coronavirus test with them.

Turkey recently pulled out of buying a Russian coronavirus vaccine because it does not meet “good laboratory practice” conditions.
