Explosion at Turkey's COVID hospital: new details
The explosion in the intensive care unit for patients with coronavirus has increased the death toll to nine.
An explosion caused by a breakdown of an oxygen machine in a hospital in the southern Turkish city of Gaziantep killed nine people. The Minister of Health of the country announced this on Saturday, December 19, Anadolu reports.
According to him, an oxygen machine exploded in the hospital in the intensive care unit for patients with coronavirus, then a fire broke out. 11 hospital patients who were undergoing treatment for COVID-19 were transferred to other medical institutions, their condition was not specified.
