Texas attorney general files a new antitrust lawsuit against Google

Attorney General of the US state of Texas Ken Paxton is filing an antitrust lawsuit against Google on behalf of several states. This is stated in a Twitter post from the Texas Attorney's Office.

“I am proud to announce that the state of Texas is filing a multi-state lawsuit against Google for breaching competition rules, restrictive practices, and providing misleading information,” it said.

Google regularly uses its “monopoly power” to control pricing, he said. It is noted that Paxton is focused on the company's behavior in the digital advertising market.

Earlier it was reported that the US Department of Justice accused Google of abusing its position in the field of online search in order to destroy competition, thereby harming consumers.
