Supreme Court Rejects Trump’s Claim Not Recognizing Biden’s Victory

The US Supreme Court rejected a lawsuit supported by the current American leader Donald Trump, which challenged the victory of Democrat Joseph Biden in the past presidential elections.

A claim for non-recognition of the results of the past presidential elections in a number of states was sent from the state of Texas. According to the decision of the judges, they refused to file a claim because they found no reason for Texas to dispute the results of elections in four other states.

Earlier, Texas authorities went to court to invalidate election results in four wavering states that voted for Democratic candidate Joe Biden. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said that voting in some states was violated, as electoral legislation was changed in them under the pretext of the coronavirus pandemic. Only 17 US states supported the Texas lawsuit, but they did not officially join the lawsuit, but only expressed their opinion.

On November 3, 2020, the next presidential elections were held in the United States. The counting of votes and the proceedings on this issue are still ongoing. According to the media, Biden received the necessary number of electoral votes to win, thus beating Trump. The democrat has already proclaimed himself US President-elect.
