Icelandic scientists have discovered another symptom of COVID-19

A group of scientists from Iceland discovered another symptom of COVID-19 — myalgia. The results of the researchers' work are published in the British Medical Journal.

Myalgia manifests itself as pain in muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones, organs, and soft connective tissues.

It is noted that this symptom was observed in 55% of patients who were examined from March 17 to April 30.

In addition, 51% of patients complained of a headache, 49% of a cough. At the same time, fever and shortness of breath were observed less frequently.

Scientists believe that signs of the mild disease may differ. For example, most people who get sick have a loss of smell, nasal congestion, and headache. These symptoms are typical for young people.
