The Chinese Statistical Office reported on the acceleration of the production of ten basic non-ferrous metals in the country for ten months to October this year. Their total volume reached 50.69 million tons.
Compared to the same months of the previous year, it grew by 4.3%. In the first nine months of this year, the production of non-ferrous metals in China increased by 3.3%. Compared to the growth of this indicator for 10 months, the rate of its rise has accelerated.
Given these data, experts expect a record amount of non-ferrous metals produced in China by the end of 2020. Their release in October increased 2.4% from the previous month and 9% over the past twelve months.
Electrolytic aluminum was produced in October at 3.2 million tons. Over the year, its volume increased by 1.2%. For the period from January to October, this figure increased by 3.5% and was fixed at 30.63 million tons.
