In the US, daily mortality from COVID approaches spring marks

More than 2 thousand patients with coronavirus have died in the country per day. At the same time, the daily increase in patients begins to decline, although it remains high.

In the United States, more than 2 thousand people have died of COVID-19 over the past day — this is the highest death rate in the country over the past six months. This is evidenced by statistics from the Johns Hopkins University of Medicine on Thursday, November 26.

On the eve of the United States recorded 2,146 deaths of COVID-19. The last time such a level was registered on May 6, when the number of deaths exceeded 2.3 thousand. The death record was set on April 15, when 2,607 people died.

At the same time, the daily increase in patients in the United States is gradually decreasing, although it continues to reach very high rates. Over the past day, 172.9 thousand new cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in the country. Last week this figure reached 196 thousand.

We will remind you that earlier in the WHO noted a record increase in cases of COVID-19 in a week. The Americas recorded an increase in both new cases and patient deaths.
