The Venezuelan president believes that his opponent Juan Guaydo was created by the current head of the White House, Donald Trump.
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said that he is hurt by the American leader Donald Trump, because the leader of the Venezuelan opposition, Juan Guaydo, betrayed him. Maduro expressed his opinion during a speech that was broadcast on Sunday, November 8, by the state television channel.
"Donald Trump created Juan Guaydo, his team created this monster. Within two years, they transferred 800 million dollars to him.<...> Not five minutes later, the American TV channels announced the victory of Joe Biden, and Guaydo abandoned Trump. Rats are running from a sinking ship," Maduro announced.
At the same time, the Venezuelan president expressed willingness to cooperate with the new U.S. administration to resume "a decent, sincere, direct dialogue.
