People on the streets of New York celebrate the election of Democratic candidate Joe Biden as the 46th President of the United States. After the announcement of the winner, the sounds of car horns, shouts, applause were heard on the streets, people even knocked on pots, writes NBC New York.
It is noted that thousands of people gathered in Times Square, Grand Army Plaza, Columbus Circle, Washington Square Park.
Americans danced and opened champagne bottles to celebrate the long-awaited election results.
