The cover of the December issue of German Vogue, for which Irina Shayk starred in Italy a few months ago, appeared on the network today. That photo session attracted the attention of many netizens because of the paparazzi frame, which showed that the zipper on Irina's skirt did not fully converge.
But on the cover was another photo taken at sea on a boat. On it, Shayk poses in a shiny dress from Dolce & Gabbana. The image won the magazine's followers on Instagram.
Very beautiful! Shine bright like a diamond,
— commented one of the users, quoting a line from Rihanna's song.
Shayk also gave a short interview to the publication, some quotes from it have already been published on the Vogue website. The Russian model talked about how the lockdown influenced her, as well as about the value of the family in her life.
The key to happiness for me is my family. I'm sure I was lucky to grow up in one of the best families in this world. We support each other with love and care, always ready to lend a shoulder to each other. During the lockdown, meditation also helped me a lot to focus on positive energy and be grateful for the good that the universe gives us.
About lockdown and gratitude
Lockdown taught me the importance of taking breaks from time to time and being able to reflect on what really matters to me. I took this opportunity to spend time again with several important people in my life, for whom, alas, there was not enough time before. Also, I started to really appreciate my experience of traveling the world. There are so many things to be grateful for.
About examples to follow
I have certainly learned to work hard and not take anything for granted, no matter what life presents me. I grew up in a female family. My mom and grandmother were my role models — strong women who don't give up. I knew from an early age that life will not give you anything just like that, but you can achieve your goals if you persist in pursuing them. My family means everything to me, it is my foundation, and I feel deeply attached to it.
On the role of fashionable clothes
Oddly enough, clothes have never played such a big role in my life. As a teenager, I just couldn't afford anything. I still remember my first pair of jeans. I was able to buy them for myself at the age of 19 when I was already working as a model in Paris. In Russia, they say that a book cannot be judged by its cover: what you are is more important than what you are wearing,
— Irina shared with the magazine.
