The Azerbaijani army used white phosphorus ammunition during the hostilities in the conflict zone in Nagorno-Karabakh.
Armenian human rights defender Arman Tatoyan stated this on Facebook.
According to him, Azerbaijan is using phosphorus ammunition against Nagorno-Karabakh, setting fire to forests located near civilian settlements.
“Many civilians are hiding in these forests from the shelling and attacks of the Azerbaijani armed forces,” he said.
Arman Tatoyan posted a video showing the use of phosphorus munitions, he claims.

The use of phosphorus ammunition was also announced in the defense army of Nagorno-Karabakh.
The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry responded by saying that accusations of the use of phosphorus ammunition are groundless.
“The Azerbaijani army is not armed with weapons and ammunition prohibited by international law,” the ministry said.
Ammunition using white phosphorus is prohibited by the additional protocol to the 1949 Geneva Convention.
Let us remind you that the belligerents called for observing the ceasefire, which was first agreed in Moscow on October 10, and later confirmed their readiness for a regime of silence in Paris on October 17 and Washington on October 25.
