Xiaomi overtook Apple
Specialists of the international data corporation IDC have prepared a regular report on the supply of smartphones. So, in the third quarter of this year, Samsung was still recognized as the leader of the list, which has a market share of 22.7%.
Samsung reportedly shipped about 80.4 million devices over the period. As for the second place, it is occupied by the Chinese giant Huawei with deliveries, the supplier of 51.9 million devices, taking 14.7% of the global market. A more interesting situation is with third place. Thus, Xiaomi has overtaken Apple, making it the third-largest smartphone device in the world. The market share of the Chinese company was 13.1% or 46.5 million shipments, while Apple was limited to 11.8%, shipping 41.6 million devices.
