WHO prepares instructions for use of Remdesivir
World Health Organization experts are working on guidelines for using Remdesivir to treat coronavirus. They plan to publish it within a month. This was announced on Friday, October 23rd, at a briefing by the WHO clinical treatment specialist Janet Diaz.
“We expect the manual to be ready within 3-4 weeks,” Diaz said.
The WHO spokesperson also announced a meeting of the organization’s experts next week to discuss evidence for the effectiveness of Remdesivir.
We will remind, earlier WHO published a study according to which the drugs Remdesivir, Hydroxychloroquine, Lopinavir / Ritonavir, and Interferon have almost no effect on reducing mortality among COVID patients.
