Students at the rally demanded that the US and Turkish military leave Syria

A rally against the presence of the US and Turkish armed contingent in Syria was held by residents of the city of Qamishli in Hasaka province on October 22, a source in Syria said.

“The protest action was held by residents and students of the Tei district in the city of Qamishli against the Turkish and American occupation forces,” the source said. He added that residents of the city also condemned the actions of the Kurdish armed forces of the SDF, which are allies of the United States in the region.

“The protesters opposed the SDF policy and their seizure of schools and houses of citizens in the city and using them as their headquarters,” the agency's interlocutor explained.

Recall that the Syrian army does not control the country's northeastern territory beyond the Euphrates. This region is under the control of the armed formations of the Kurds and pro-Turkish groups supported by the Turkish army.
