The largest increases in new cases were in India, the United States, and Brazil. In the world, 5514 people also died from COVID-19 in a day.
Earlier, the head of WHO, Tedros Adan Ghebreyesus, said that outbreaks of diseases and pandemics are part of human life, and the countries of the world must prepare to better reflect the next big epidemic. He noted that many countries neglected the development of the health sector, which affected their readiness to fight the pandemic of the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.
As of October 8, there are more than 36.3 million people infected with coronavirus in the world, of which more than 1.1 million people have died, another 25 million have recovered. Most of the infected area in the United States, India, Brazil, Russia, and Colombia.
