Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden regretted calling his rival Donald Trump a clown during the debate. Writes about this The Hill.
“I should have said it was buffoonery, but I shouldn't have called him a clown,” the Democrat lamented, commenting on his insult to the Republican.
In his defense, Biden recalled that during the debate, Trump interrupted him and the moderator of the discussion 158 times. According to the politician, he was just trying to figure out how to make the US president behave respectfully and give everyone the opportunity to speak.
The first debate between Biden and Trump took place on September 29 in the auditorium of Case Western River University in Cleveland, Ohio. The second debate of candidates for the presidency of the American state will be held in Miami, Florida, the third — in Nashville, Tennessee. Biden has already agreed to postpone the October debate due to Trump's illness — he contracted the coronavirus.
