Scientists have created electronic blood vessels
The network has information about the latest invention by scientists. Experts have created electronic blood vessels: they are flexible, biodegradable, and able to mimic the structure of natural blood vessels.
Right now, the new development is being successfully tested on rabbits, and in the future, it is planned to be used to recover patients after surgery, according to the scientific journal Matter. Also, experiments carried out on an artificial wound model have demonstrated an improvement in the proliferation and migration of endothelial cells to the healing site when using electrical stimulation of the created blood vessels.
The team of scientists involved in the creation of the novelty said they hoped that their technology could help patients recover faster after surgery. It is also planned to combine their developments with AI to collect data on a person's blood flow rate, blood pressure, and blood glucose levels.
