In Bangkok, thousands of people took to an anti-government protest
Tens of thousands of people joined the anti-government demonstration in the Thai capital. The demonstrators called for a reform of the political system. It is reported by BBC News.
The protesters, in particular, demanded to reduce the role of the monarch in governing the country and end the persecution of opposition politicians.
Police estimate that about 15,000 people took part in the protest, making it the largest demonstration in recent years.
The organizers claim that about 50 thousand people took part in the action.
