US companies Facebook and Twitter have pledged to fight targeted attempts to undermine the electoral process before, during, and after the US presidential election, the companies said in a September 16 statement posted on their official Twitter pages.
The companies said they are ready to вЂњfight targeted attempts to undermine the electoral process ahead of, during, and after the elections.вЂќ In addition, the companies are ready to counter cyberattack attempts on the campaign headquarters of candidates for the presidency of the United States.
The companies also said in a joint statement that they will provide вЂњtimely and open information about the electoral process, election results,вЂќ as well as information related to the coronavirus.
Recall that the presidential elections in the United States will be held on November 3, 2020. Joseph Biden was nominated for the Democratic Party of the United States. The current President of the United States, Donald Trump, is the Republican nominee.
