The armed forces of Venezuela shot down an American plane carrying drugs, which illegally entered the airspace of the country, reports Interior Minister Nestor Reverol.
As specified, the aircraft with the American registration number illegally crossed the country's airspace in the state of Zulia. The minister also posted pictures of the downed plane.
In 2013, the president of the republic, Nicholas Maduro, announced that a legislative norm was approved, according to which it is permissible to shoot down any drug mafia plane flying illegally over the territory of the country. The bill was initiated by former President Hugo Chavez after the parliament approved this document.
