New Cheap iPhone: What Apple Prepares

Apple will release iPhone SE 2 in March next year

Apple intends to release a “budget” smartphone iPhone SE 2 in March next year. This gadget will become the successor of the iPhone SE and will cost the buyer no more than $399 for the base model.

Barclays analyst Blaine Curtis broadcasts the latest rumors about the iPhone, which are scheduled for production and release in 2020, according to the MacRumors portal. Curtis is known to have visited Apple’s contractor production in Asia and shared his insights on what to expect from Apple next year.

Of particular interest is the announcement of the iPhone SE2 smartphone, which will be the successor to the iPhone SE. With a high degree of probability, SE2 will be presented to the public in March 2020.

According to rumors, the cost of the iPhone SE2 will start at $399.

As for the appearance of the device, it will presumably be similar to the iPhone 8. It is also expected that the iPhone SE2 will have a mechanical Touch ID button, which is absent in modern iPhones.

Since SE2 is considered a budget model, it can boast only one rear camera, as well as an LCD display made by LG. The amount of RAM will be 3 GB, and the internal — 64 GB or 128 GB. The iPhone SE2 will be based on the A13 processor, which is also installed in the iPhone 11 line.

Thus, at the output, users will receive a gadget of an average price category, but with improved performance. True, as an analyst of the 9to5Mac portal notes, the March device, in fact, will not be an evolution of the iPhone SE, but rather a new version of the G8. However, this is unlikely to be interesting to potential buyers of the iPhone SE2 — according to preliminary forecasts, the company will release 2-4 million devices, counting on good demand.

In addition, additional information appeared about the upcoming iPhone 12 lineup in September 2020.

It is reported that the conditional iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will receive 6 GB of RAM compared to 4 GB present in the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Among other things, in the flagship of next year, a 3D camera may appear, as well as support for 5G technology.

In September of this year, rumors spread that the iPhone 12 would look like the iconic iPhone 4, which is still widely perceived as the most beautiful “apple” smartphone — this was stated by analyst Min-Chi Kuo, known for his accurate predictions regarding Apple products. Then network insider Ben Geskin posted a photo on his twitter with a concept of how the twelfth iPhone might look like, inheriting the look of the Quartet.

“We predict that the design of the iPhone 2020 will change significantly ... The metal frame, as well as the front and rear 2 2.5D glass, will remain in place, but the surface of the metal frame will be similar to the design used in the iPhone 4,” the report said. analytics.

Min-Chi Kuo is sure that the updated iPhone will look and feel completely different in the hand, but new production technologies will require significant costs — the expert believes that the company's costs for a metal frame and glass case will increase by 50-60% and 40 -50% respectively. At the same time, it is possible that the price of the device for the consumer will also increase.

In mid-November, it became known that Apple will hold an unplanned earlier December presentation — this is evidenced by invitations to the press, which were merged into social networks.

As follows from the invitations, the event will be dedicated to “our favorite applications and games of 2019”. It is scheduled for December 2.

The tagline for the presentation was the phrase: “Loved by millions. Created by the best“.

This event is as sudden as possible for both analysts and the press. If we are really talking about the most popular games and applications, then earlier Apple issued a regular press release, in which it listed the names and developers. Now, probably, the company wants to arrange some kind of award ceremony instead of a regular release. As for the presentation of new devices, experts consider it unlikely that from December 2, you should expect some kind of “iron” announcements.
