Smoke from forest fires was seen over the US from space
Copernicus Sentinel-3 satellite took a photo, which shows a plume of smoke that stretches over the west coast of the United States, where continues to rage about 100 forest fires.
The orange cloud has covered parts of California as well as Washington and Oregon. According to the European Space Agency, the smoke has spread to 2 thousand kilometers west of the area where the fire is raging.
Oregon's authorities have already announced that about 10% of the local population, whose homes were in dangerous proximity to the approaching fire, will be evacuated due to forest fires. The State of California reported that at least 7 people were killed in the forest fires.
