Walt Disney slammed for filming Mulan in China
Criticism of Walt Disney Studios for choosing a location for filming the new film вЂњMulanвЂќ in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (XUAR) was expressed by users of social networks, September 9.
Users criticized Walt Disney Studios for choosing the location in China for the filming of Mulan, where вЂњre-education campsвЂќ for Uighurs are located. Uyghurs are a people living in Xinjiang province. The Uyghurs are Muslims and Sunni Muslims. It is noted that according to the UN, more than a million representatives of the people are held in the camps.
Users were outraged that in the final credits of the film "Mulan" the creators of the tape expressed gratitude to the state structures of the Chinese province, some of which are directly related to the camps. Social networks called for a boycott of the film.
