Greece quarantines three camps with migrants due to COVID-19
The Greek authorities have quarantined three migration centers near Athens due to outbreaks of the COVID-19 coronavirus among migrants.
The government said the camps were closed for sanitary and hygienic quarantine for at least two weeks вЂ” until September 21.
According to the Greek newspaper Kathimerini, 35 infected with the coronavirus were found in the largest refugee camp of Moria on the island of Lesvos, it is closed for quarantine until September 15. In total, about 13 thousand people live there.
Restrictions on exit and entry have been imposed on migrant camps in Greece since March.
