The Sudanese Security and Defense Council has declared a three-month state of emergency due to flooding and declared Sudan a natural disaster zone. This was reported on Saturday, September 5, by the Reuters news agency.

According to the country's government, as a result of the floods this year, 99 people died, another 46 people were hospitalized, more than 500 thousand people were injured.

In addition, more than 100 thousand houses were completely or partially destroyed by streams of water. The number of floods and rain in Sudan this year exceeded the records set in 1946 and 1988.

At the same time, further growth is expected due to continued rains.

We will remind you, the current rainy season in Sudan led to the complete destruction of 4,726 houses and damage to other 4,628 apartments. At the same time, one of the most affected regions was the capital state of Khartoum.
