Because of the most powerful typhoon Maysak in half a century, the coast of the Russian Primorye was covered with scallops, oysters, mussels, and seaweed.
On the coast of the Ussuri Bay “an atmosphere of universal joy and abundance reigns.” Local residents, armed with boots and buckets, collect shellfish. They peel them of their shells to freeze them for future use. At the same time, all this is happening against the backdrop of a post-apocalyptic picture — the typhoon demolished the beach houses and changing rooms, threw boats on the shore.
“Maysak” turned out to be the most powerful hurricane in Primorye over the past half-century. Due to the stormy wind, many accidents occurred on the power supply networks, roofs and facades of houses were damaged. Traffic was blocked on many roads due to fallen trees, and water outages were recorded.
Three people became victims of “Maysak”, more than 50 residents of the region suffered from the rampant elements.
