Filming of “Batman” suspended due to coronavirus in Robert Pattinson

British actor Robert Pattinson has contracted the coronavirus, leading to the suspension of filming in London for the sequel to The Batman, 2021 franchise, according to the American magazine Vanity Fair.

The publication draws attention to the fact that the Warner Bros. film studio, which is responsible for filming the picture, confirmed the fact of infection of a member of the film crew, but did not disclose his name.

“The test results for COVID-19, taken from a participant in the filming of Batman, were positive. He is isolated in accordance with the established rules. Filming has been temporarily suspended,” the studio said.

Vanity Fair approached Pattinson for confirmation of the information but has not yet received a response.

The sequel to the superhero film series has been filming since January in London and was initially suspended in March due to the coronavirus pandemic. Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz, Colin Farrell, and others star in the films directed by Matt Reeves. The image of the hero of comics about Batman at various times was embodied on the screen by actors Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Christian Bale, and Ben Affleck.

The premiere of the new film “Batman” was supposed to take place on June 25, 2021, but due to the situation with the coronavirus, the date was postponed to October 1 of the same year.
