The former press secretary of US President Donald Trump Sarah Sanders spoke about how the head of the DPRK Kim Jong-un showed her attention at one of the meetings, writes The Guardian on Wednesday, September 2.
In her book describing her work with Trump, Sanders described one of the trips of an American delegation to North Korea to meet with the country's leadership. The heads of state talked about sports, including women's football.
At one point, Sanders noticed that the North Korean leader was watching her, after which Kim Jong-un nodded and winked at her.
According to the woman, she was stunned and quickly returned to filling out her papers.
“All I could think of was that Kim Jong-un paid attention to me?” — said Sanders.
She later spoke about the incident to Trump and former White House chief of staff John Kelly. Hearing this story, the men burst out laughing. The head of the United States noted that Sanders “liked” the leader of North Korea.
In July, Too Much and Always Few: How My Family Created the Most Dangerous Man in the World was published. In it, the niece of the American President Mary Trump argues that Donald Trump is not able to empathize with other people and suffers from many complexes.
