The American leader openly accused journalists of spreading unrest in the country, calling the media dishonest.
US President Donald Trump believes that the American media bears significant responsibility for provoking unrest in the country. He said this on Tuesday, September 1, to the journalists themselves at the Andrews military base near Washington before flying to the city of Kenosha, Wisconsin, which was covered by a wave of protests.
“I believe that in reality this (riots) Is kindled by the press, the media. Even more so than Biden,” the head of the White House said.
Trump also called the press dishonest and said that it should be ashamed.
“The press is really stirring it up. And you are stirring it up in a terrifying way. You are doing your country a very disservice,” the president told reporters.
We will remind, in Kenosha since August 23, mass protests have continued — after the police several times shot African American Jacob Blake in the back.
