A U.S. Navy E-2C Hawkeye reconnaissance aircraft crashed in Virginia, on August 31.
The accident occurred during a training flight, which took place northeast of the naval base in Norfolk, the press service said. According to the US military, all members of the aircraft crew managed to eject.
The cause of the plane crash is being investigated, the press service of the US Navy notes.
As a reminder, the E-2C Hawkeye is an aircraft designed for early warning or control. It can be used for the early detection of aviation targets; it can also be used as a command post.
