British police removed two terrorist suspects from a plane

Because of the “potential threat” on board, two fighters accompanied the passenger airliner to the airport.

In the British county of Essex, police took off the plane that arrived at Stansted Airport and detained a 34-year-old native of Kuwait and a 48-year-old Italian on terrorism charges. This was reported by Sky News on Monday, August 31.

“Counterterrorism police officers from the Eastern Region Special Operations Unit detained two men this evening (Sunday) under Appendix 7 of the Terrorism Act,” the county police press office said.
It is noted that two Typhoon fighter jets, due to the “potential threat” on board, accompanied a passenger jet flying from Vienna to the airport. Upon arrival, the police found “suspicious objects” in the aircraft's lavatory.

An Irish low-cost Ryanair aircraft flying from Cracow to Dublin reportedly made an emergency landing in London after they found a note with a message about an explosive on board.
