Voting in parliamentary elections begins in Montenegro

The polling stations for the parliamentary elections in Montenegro opened on Sunday morning.

According to the election commission, 540 thousand people out of about 620 thousand citizens of the country have the right to vote, reports USTN. The sites are open from 7.00 to 20.00, there are 1,217 in total. Elderly people and those who are being treated in hospitals will also be able to participate in the expression of their will — members of the commission will come to them upon request. Masks, disinfection of hands and surfaces, and keeping a distance due to COVID-19 are required on the sites.

Voting across the country goes for parliamentary candidates. 11 parties and coalitions are fighting for 81 seats. Five municipalities, including the tourist capital of the country, Budva, also elect representatives to local authorities.
