Another reproach to incumbent US President Donald Trump for inaction regarding the allegedly offered by Russia monetary reward to militants in Afghanistan for the murder of the American military was made by the US presidential candidate from the Democratic Party Joseph Biden on August 29 during a video conference organized by the US National Guard Association.
“As president, I will never do anything with intelligence reports offering the Kremlin bounties on the heads of American troops serving in Afghanistan,” Biden said.
He added that the parents of US citizens in Afghanistan perceive such inaction as a betrayal. The presidential candidate stressed that Trump “did not even raise this issue” in any of his conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
We will remind, on June 26, The New York Times published an article with allegations of the US intelligence services' data on planned attacks on US citizens in Afghanistan, for which Russia is offering a reward. Russia denied these assumptions, calling them a lie.
On June 28, the US President announced that US intelligence had recognized the information that Russia attributed such relations with Afghan militants was unreliable. Later, senior US officials also denied the existence of information about payments by Russia for the murder of American citizens.
