In the Swedish city of Malmo, riots began. About three hundred people took to the street. When the police arrived at the scene, stones, bottles, and fireworks flew into them.
To stop the riots, the Swedish police had to use special vehicles. The protesters burned fires, which they threw tires and lumber into. The policemen had to put out the fire and disperse the crowd.
The protest was a response to a prank by street artist Dana Park. Together with members of one of the Danish extremist parties, he burned the Koran - the holy book of Muslims. Earlier the organizer of the action was already tried for inciting ethnic hatred.
