The EU and the UK are likely to be unable to conclude an agreement on Brexit

The EU and the UK are likely to be unable to conclude a relationship agreement after the UK leaves the community (Brexit). This was stated on Friday by the EU's chief negotiator for Brexit Michel Barnier at a press conference following the 7th round of negotiations.

“In general, the EU and the UK will probably not be able to conclude an agreement. I no longer understand why we continue to waste time [on these negotiations] with such an attitude of the British side,” he said.

The transitional period of Brexit will end on December 31, by which time the agreement should not only be reached but also should enter into force after signing and ratification.
