US Secretary of Energy Rick Perry will refuse to testify in President Donald Trump's impeachment case before a closed committee session of the US House of Representatives. This was told by a spokeswoman for the Department of Energy, reports Reuters.
“The minister will not take part in the secret inquisition in the” star “cell, where the presence of the agency’s lawyer is prohibited,” Shailene Hines said.
She noted that Perry was ready to take part in open hearings. According to Hines, if the committee is interested in conducting a serious review, it may send an invitation to the minister to attend an open hearing, which may be attended by the Department attorney and the American people.
Recall, recently, the lower house of the US Congress approved a resolution with official support for the investigation of the actions of President Donald Trump. This decision of the House of Representatives is the first in the framework of the impeachment proceedings initiated by the Democratic Party.
